Nextek

Nextek, a financial technology firm, purchased a two-story medical building in Shoreview.

Archimea was designer in charge of the renovation process, including hiring and collaborating with a structural engineer. Renovations included:

• completely gutting the interior
• replacing the exterior windows
• relocating the roof access and toilet rooms
• opening up the existing entry atrium
• adding a 2-story stadium seating area

A contemporary and industrial design direction supports the objective of hiring the best and brightest talent in the IT field. Design elements used:

• color (HVAC tubes and metal walls)
• use of industrial materials (corrugated metals, wire cloth handrails)
• large tv screens for testing and demonstrations
• employee game and video game areas
• full-service kitchen at Break Area
