McNamara Alumni Center
Archimea has been involved in a number of projects with the University of Minnesota including this renovation of the parking lobby in the McNamara Alumni Center. The objective was to create an updated presence in the walkway to the Alumni Center Elevators, the Gathering Lobby and Public Toilet Rooms throughout the building, making them fully accessible. The selected finishes and fixtures are consistent with the high level of finish and materials in the building. The thin angled lines of the finishes and light fixtures are reminiscent of the glazed openings in the building’s geode, and light levels match the ambient lighting in the adjacent Event space.
This project is one of the latest in a series of projects Archimea has designed at this facility since 2007.
